3M™ Scotch-Weld™ 2216 B/A is a flexible, two-component structural epoxy adhesive designed for bonding metals, ceramics, plastics (e.g. GRP), rubber, wood, and composites.

Applications
  • Bonding of metal, wood, ceramics, rubber, and plastics like GFRP, polyester, fluorinated rubber
  • Ideal for dynamic loads, vibration and peel-stressed joints
  • Assembly in aerospace, mechanical, and electrical engineering

  • High peel and shear strength, excellent flexibility
  • Impact-resistant and weatherproof
  • Room temperature cure (7 days) or accelerated cure (2 h at 65 °C)
  • Service temperature: -55 °C to +80 °C
  • Mixed manually or mechanically at 2:3 (vol) / 5:7 (wt)

Processing Notes
  • Clean, dry surfaces required – light abrasion recommended
  • Mix components until uniform color
  • Apply with spatula or extrusion gun; recommended bond line: 0.05–0.15 mm
  • Optional: use glass beads as spacers
  • Clean uncured material with MEK; cured adhesive is removable mechanically
Storage
  • Store at +15 °C to +25 °C in original packaging
  • Shelf life: 24 months from shipment date
